John Copnall (1928-2007)
Copnall’s early work was figurative. Following a move to Spain in the 1950s the effect of the country’s dramatic landscape, combined with the influence of his interest in Abstract Expressionism, led him to produce a series of powerful abstract work.
He exhibited widely and was elected and member of The London Group in1989.
