Margaret Lovell (b.1939)

Margaret Lovell was born and lived in Bristol where she studied at the West of England College of Art from 1956 to 1960, before moving to The Slade School of Fine Art, 1960-62.

As a sculptor she works primarily with bronze, stone, marble and slate. Her work suggests, rather than depicts, ‘natural forms, movement and structures’. She has exhibited widely, particularly in the West Country and the Arts Council, Plymouth and Bristol public galleries hold examples.
