Keith Vaughan (1912-1977)

After the Second World War Vaughan came into contact with the Neo-Romantic painters such as Graham Sutherland and John Minton. This certainly affected his work however, throughout his life Keith Vaughan’s artistic theme remained constant: the male nude in the landscape. His palette is unmistakeable, although the subject matter developed into abstraction later on in his career.
