Diana Armfield (b.1920)

Diana Armfield is best known and loved as one of the more traditional exhibitors at the Royal Academy. She is acknowledged to be a very fine still life painter and her subject matter also extends to landscapes, especially Continental views. She is married to the artist Bernard Dunstan and they lived together in Kew.
 
She studied at the Slade School of Fine Art and Central School of Arts and Crafts. From 1959 she taught at Byam Shaw School of Art.
