Painter, decorative artist, printmaker and teacher. Born in Glasgow he studied there at the School of Art and at Slade School of Art under Philip Wilson Steer. Exhibited widely. Was principal of Redhill School of Art, 1922-40. Lived finally at Carbis Bay, Cornwall.
