Roy Turner Durrant (1925-1998)
Born in Lavenham, Suffolk. Throughout his early life he sketched constantly. In his thirties he was part of the Neo-Romantic movement, and influenced by artists such as Keith Vaughan and Alan Reynolds, he celebrated the beauty of the English countryside. In the 1950s his work developed to abstraction, which he explored for the remainder of his career.

A one man show was held at The Fine Art Society in 2008.
