A painter and curator, born in London where he continued to live. He was keeper of pictures at the National Maritime Museum, Greenwich and had a long series of exhibitions with Portal Gallery. Also showed at the RA, British Council and abroad.

‘His style is extremely delicate, using fresh light colours. He is especially fond of painting stretches of water such as pools and rivers, and he is very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of such districts. Everything is clearly and accurately presented - its very naturalness gives it a supernatural air’.
Anatole Jakowsky, Peintres Naifs, A Dictionary of Primitive Painters, 1967
